How Do I Use Analytics Dashboards to Analyze my Testing Data and Activity?

Every lab has access to free analytics dashboards that give insight to your sample data and testing activity over time. This article explains how to find the dashboards available to you, what they reveal about your operations, and how to upgrade to unlock the full Analytics experience.

Accessing Analytics Dashboards

To access Analytics, navigate to the Analytics tab on the left hand menu. From there, you can access different collections of dashboards.

Every Lab has access to a number of General dashboards which includes analytics for Samples by Category, Samples by Client, Revenue by Client, Tests Over Time, Assay Data, and more.

Filtering Dashboard Data

Narrow the view using filters for date range, lab, matrix category or type, assay, analyte, test package, industry, compliance, and more.

1. Navigate to the Analytics tab and find the dashboard(s) you would like to filter in the Collections menu on the left.
2. In the top menu, there are plenty of filters to choose from for filtering your dashboards. Select the filter(s) you'd like to apply and Add Filter

Exporting Dashboard Data

Every dashboard includes a download button, so you can export your data in different formats or save charts as an image to share with your team.

1. Navigate to the Analytics tab and find the dashboard you would like to export. Apply any filters you would like to the dataset, if applicable.
2. To export the entire page of dashboards as a PDF, select the Download icon in the top right
   
   
3. To export a specific dashboard, find the table or chart of interest. At the top right of the table or chart, select the three dots and Download results
   
   
   
4. Select which format in which you would like to download the data, and Download
   
   
   
   

Other Tips & Noteworthy Items

• Source data is updated daily at midnight Pacific Time. Data is available for samples created since 2024-01-01.
• Analytics only includes samples and orders processed through Confident LIMS. If you track samples outside the system, those numbers won't appear here.
• Every dashboard is automatically filtered to your organization. Other labs can't see your data, and you can't see theirs.

Labs who upgrade to Pro and Premium subscriptions gain access to additional analytics and powerful tools for understanding testing performance, costs, trends, and operational insights across your organization.
