# How do I Add, Remove, or Update a License?

## Maintain laboratory business licenses in your Confident LIMS account to ensure they are most up to date

### **Add a New License**

1. Go to **Settings** > **Organization** using the menu bar on the left. Then go to the **Licenses** tab.
2. Click the **Add New License** button and fill out the license number, type, and designation. Give your license a nickname, click **Add License**.

3. Labs will now be able to use this license for testing orders.

### **Update a License**

To update a license, add a new license as described above and remove the old one.

### **Remove a License**

1. Go to **Settings** > **Organization** using the menu bar on the left. Then go to the **Licenses** tab.
2. Click on the **Remove** button on the right-hand side of the license you want to remove.

3. Click **Remove** in the dialog to confirm removing the license.
