# How do I Place an Order?

## Labs are able to place orders on behalf of Clients

1. Find the **Client** you would like to place the order for in the **Clients** page using the left hand panel or the search bar
2. Select the **New Order** button

3. Select the applicable Industry for the Order  
   Note: Only one Industry can be associated with a single Order

4. Select the **Add New Sample To Order** button

5. If applicable, select or add the Client and Lab **License** that should be associated with the order being placed. You can also skip this step or select **None**

6. Fill out the **New Sample** form for each sample you want to add to the order. Add the applicable test packages for each sample using the **Test Packages** area on the right.  
   **Pro Tip:** On the top right, you can **Add & Create Another** sample or **Add & Clone Sample** in this page to quickly add additional samples to the order

7. When all samples have been added to the order, close the New Sample window
8. Select **Continue** on the bottom right
9. Select how you plan to get samples to the Lab (Pickup or Client Drop Off) and **Continue**
10. **Review the Order** and make any edits as necessary
11. Enable the **Send email to client** check box to send your client an email summarizing the **Order**
