Overview
Pro and Premium labs can set client-specific pricing for test packages, giving greater flexibility and control over how they bill their customers. In addition to the existing option to apply a flat percentage discount across all tests, labs can now set custom prices for individual menu items on a per-client basis. This eliminates the need for manual price adjustments on each order and makes it easy to offer tailored discounts or negotiated rates for specific test packages without affecting the rest of a client’s pricing.
How to Set Custom Prices for Clients
- Navigate to Clients and search for the desired Client.
- Go to the Billing tab for the desired Client.
- You will see a Prices table that displays all of the Menu Test Packages the lab has configured with their Standard Price listed. "Rush" package Add-Ons will also appear in this table.
Note: To create or edit a menu item, refer to How do I Create or Edit a Test Package?
- To set a custom price for a specific test package, enter the price you would like to offer in the Price column for that test package. Select Save.
- The custom price for that package will then be saved for the specific Client.
- Now, either when the lab is placing an order for that Client or the Client is placing an order through their portal, the custom price will be displayed. Other Clients will see the standard price if they do not have their own custom price applied for the same package.
- This custom price will also be reflected on client invoices along with any flat percentage discounts that are applied for a client.
Notes and Pro Tips
- Both the custom price and flat discount will appear on QuickBooks invoices for labs using the Quickbooks Online integration.
- Analytics Dashboards in the Analytics module will reflect the custom prices set for each client.
